I watched some newly released Indian movies and saw how good Indian movie producers had gotten, they have actually gone far ooo. The picture quality of the movie, the screenplay, the casting and acting were wonderful, best of all was the effects and stunts put in some of these movie, permit me to use the word “mad” or say “tight” as some of my colleagues would say when something is very wonderful.
Not that these things have not been seen in any other movie before, but coming from India, a country that could be classified as a third world or second world nation, they deserve a round of applause. They have even done Sci-Fi movies which I doubt if Nollywood would be able to do in the next five years. The script is well written (though not foolproof) and it makes sense unlike many Nigerian movies.
They can’t even create a good accident scene, and some time watching these Nigeria gives on headache or makes you want to cry for the industry and also feel sorry for yourself for wasting you precious time.
Why can’t these producers take a cue from their counterparts and produce quality movies and make their money (and also promote us) than make rubbish to make money. Thank God there are still some very good producers in the country (though really few), like Tunde Kilani and the likes.
Nigeria the country with claims of being the giant of Africa has a movie industry with poor functionality. Imagine a movie industry that is should to promote the image of the country producing movie that depicts the all the horrible sides of the country ranging from corruption to mass poverty. Why wash your dirty unties in the market square, ehn movies producers and patrons of the industry? Like it or not, you would always be black and a Nigerian, so you nation rather than pull it down because you have the power in your hands.
